Last night I cooked dinner and had my sister and mother over to eat and watch a movie. It was great...so nice to be able to be close to my family and do that again. No plans today...just playing on the internet, listening to music, etc. My new apartment really is nice. I'm very blessed to have found it. It's moderately cold here today, windy. I'd forgotten how badly I hated the wind here in NM. Well...this has all been brilliant and enlightening I'm sure....lol...

I found this tacked to a message board on campus.... what the hell is this ugly fuckin' thing? What caught my eye was the inventors? were looking for a model! This poor girl with the unfortunate fat thighs has aparantly already been !SIGNED! and is already workin' it! I can just hear them saying to potential candidates: "Sure....just pose with this ugly, lawn mower piece of shit today....and TOMORROW...tomorrow, Paris, Milan.....Rome! LOL! It's a pity I don't drink anymore....I'd have gotten ripped, called them and had a grand old time...

Memories...

I came across some old floppy disks today with alot of pics I took years ago with an old digi-cam I used to have. So cool to see these pics again!





This was Muffen...my sweet little dog. We lost her this fall. She was only 8. She was killed by tainted dog food. She was my little girl...I haven't adjusted to her death at all yet.



I worked with these girls on the night shift at Plains Regional in Clovis NM years ago. Great memories.

Beautiful day the last two days....I moved into a new apartment this weekend. I'm very happy with it. Hmm...nothing much elso to say today...

Cold day today, though it is warming up considerably from this morning. Ugly, ugly part of the world....could be worse though, things could always be worse. On a cheerier note, things are looking up in my current situation here in Portales. Moving into a nice apartment this week, going to begin some private nursing duty, and have things set with the car, except for insurance, which will be no real issue. It's looking to be a good new year so far.

Been reading alot, still working on Anne Rice. I've finished her entire "Mayfair Witches" series and just beginning Servant of the Bones today. I'm hooked already. I'm enjoying life with my family, though they drive me insane quite often. I'm very blessed to have them.

Talked to on of my best friends, David, the other day. He decided to leave Austin for a while and go back to HIS hometown to work and catch up financially. David and I lived together on and off over the years. We had fun. David is a great friend, and I'd not of made it several times there without him. Haven't heard from Scott in a while....that child worries me...too mishiefous.

Haven't heard about Britney in a couple days......so sad.....

The Democratic Presidential contenders seem to be in the forefront of thinking Americans and fortunately the media at the moment. I'm really split between Hillary and Barak Obama. I bvelieve that a Democrat will win this election because this country is fed up with the current administration and needs some new life. Our beautiful country needs help to get out of this disaster G.W got us into. Ta for now!

the BIG news!

Well, if you haven't heard about Britney's meltdown, you must be living in utter sensory deprivation.....
I was flipping through channels one night and thought I'd turn to the news networks for a while, and what to my horrified eyes did appear?? On not one, but THREE ( I expected it from FOX, but CNN??) cable news networks were blasting constant coverage, in Anna Nicole style, of Britney's capture by the police and subsequent confinement to the booby-hatch! I was repulsed, fascinated, greatly amused and saddened all at the same time. Why saddened? Certainly not sad for this stupid idiot, this fool who somehow made it famous. I'm really saddened that this country is so distracted by this no-talent and others like her ( Paris, Lindsey, et. al), that the fact that we're in a horrible mess in the middle east-losing innocent boys for George Bush's oil war...this fact seems to be fading more and more from the general public's kindergarten attention span. Where was coverage of meaningful events?? how could a respected network like CNN fall to the tabloid-like, Bush-loving level of the Fox News propaganda machine?
This country really needs to wake up...and GET some priorities, then set them straight!

In the meantime, can we take up a collection to jettison these talentless, attention grabbing, sloppy whores into space?
