Black Gay Twins...? Porn.....? Robbery......? What else does anyone need?!?
Gay Porn Twins Arrested for Robbery Spree
02.26.08
By Ann Turner
Twin brothers, 26-year-old Taleon and Keyontyli Goffney, were arrested last week after burglarizing a Rite Aid pharmacy in Philadelphia. The brothers, whom Perez Hilton outed on his site as gay porn actors, are suspected in a spree of at least 35 other robberies over three states. The twins have appeared in videos on sites such as Blackmen.net and EbonyD.com.
The Goffney brothers were arrested last week after allegedly breaking into a Rite Aid in Philadelphia on Monday. The pair reportedly cut a hole in the roof of the store and climbed down into the building using a rope. This pattern of break-in is similar to a string of other robberies across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, according to NBC10.com.
Police authorities believe the two men may be responsible for as many as 35 break-ins and robberies. In the latest incident, the brothers vandalized and stole money from an ATM machine instead the Rite Aid store and emptied out the cash register. The brothers then broke into another store next door, according to PerezHilton.com, and repeated their thefts. Keyontyli was arrested at the scene after an alarm notified police of the break-in. Taleon escaped, but was captured later.
Taleon Goffney pled guilty this week to resisting arrest and criminal mischief from an earlier case as part of a plea agreement, according to the Courier Post. County Prosecutor Matthew Spence has recommended a three-year state prison term on those charges, which stem from Goffney's attempt to escape from a moving police cruiser after another arrest on drug and weapons charges.
Keyontyli Goffney maintains a modeling web site at www.adxtend.com/keyon/index and has participated in a national underwear campaign. Both brothers have reported appeared in a variety of gay porn videos, according to Rod 2.0. Disturbingly, some of the promotional images from the porn vidoes (which can be found here, viewer beware) appear to show incestous activities between the two men.

Holy Fiasco Batman!
I watched the Republican National Convention last night. All in all, I found the whole affair extremely lackluster, disappointing, and predictable. The entire production seemed to be an apologia for Sarah Palin, McCain's disastrous choice for a running mate. Disastrous, you say? Disastrous for the Republican Party in general and for the McCain campaign in particular. Again and again, overly enthusiastic, strained-faced politicos were paraded in front of the cameras, trumpeting the virtues of Palin and the wisdom of McCain for choosing her as his running mate, even though they must inwardly all be floundering in the quagmire of her complete unsuitability. Whom are they trying to convince, the skeptical public or themselves? Had any of these people even heard of Sarah Palin before her nomination was announced? Not hardly. They all say the same things.....spouting the official party line.
I'm hearing two different streams of thought in various other blogs concerning this nomination: 1. McCain chose Palin to appeal to disenfranchised Clinton voters, and 2. He chose Palin to pander to the religious right and nail their vote. I don't see how McCain, or anyone of any political intelligence whatsoever could actually believe that democrats who supported Hillary would have ANYTHING to do with getting this frightening woman into the office of Vice President. Sarah Palin embraces everything that Hillary and the Democratic Party finds repugnant. What seems more logical is that he is courting the Evangelical vote, that frightening monster lurking in the shadows of American civil liberties and freedom. Sarah Palin is a Christian fundamentalist who believes in the literal truth of the bible. These people share a world view that would be extremely dangerous were it to be actualized in the political world. Already, Palin is voicing her determination to have legal abortion abolished. Could they possibly think ANY Democrat would vote for this ticket? These people have no place in National politics. He might as well have chosen Benny Hinn or John Hagee as a running mate. And why do I say that these people have no place in National politics? Because they use their religion as a weapon to wield in the destruction of human rights and the repression of all those who don't share their stilted beliefs. They would destroy everything in this country that does not fit into their narrow theological sights. Such a bias has no place in American government. Remember when Rev Pat Robertson briefly ran for President? Horrors.....what a cataclysm that would have been.
I have no problem with Sarah Palin and her kind literally believing that the Earth was created in seven days, and other completely unscientific bits of Biblical fantasy. Let them believe anything they choose....just do not let them attempt to govern me and institute policies based upon these sometimes frightening ideals.
Thank GOD John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate, for in doing so, he single handedly guaranteed the victory of Barak Obama.

Memories of Katrina
Hurricane Katrina, September 2005
Gustav is in full swing this morning, battering the Gulf coastline. Three years ago, I was working for an Austin nursing agency called Staff Search, working in several local hospitals. I was making excellent money, was very involved with my circle of friends, and really pretty much consumed with my own life. I'd heard about Katrina briefly on the news, and then in phone conversations with my mother telling me how bad it was. I wasn't really aware of the scope of Katrina, and honestly I didn't really care much, such was my self-centered involvenment with my own dramas. It just didn't register with me. Staff Search took a contract with the City of Austin to provide relief, alongside FEMA and The Red Cross. I believe we had about 20,000 refugees in Austin. We worked in two different settings-at the convention center downtown providing medical care, and at Givens Park. I was at the Givens Park facility, where we provided non-medical medical care, ie., allocation of funds towards medications, medical supplies, etc. We were responsible for awarding HUNDREDAS of thousands of dollars daily. It was a 12-14 hour, 6 day a week job. The money was great, but it was a really emotionally and physically draining experience.
I wasn't prepared for what I heard from these poor people. I heard stories that will stay with me for the rest of my life....the woman who's husband was accidentally left in his hospital bed during hospital evacuation...the ICU nurse forced to abandon critical patients to die....the woman fighting to take care of her mother and an entire abandoned nursing home until she just couldn't anymore. These examples are just three amongst many. These people and their stories touched me in a way I'd never experienced. Sure, I was used to death, sorrow and general yuckiness. But these people had really gone through something that the vast majority of us are never faced with....and they were still loving, sweet, kind people despite it. How corageous those people were. Even while telling me of their most horrible experiences and deepest sorrows, they were courageous and strong. My apathy and sefhishsdness quickly changed, and I had a new perspective on alot of things A big part of me changed during that assignment. I grew immensely, as a nurse and as a human being. I'll never forget that expereince as long as I live.
Gustav hit the Gulf Coast this morning. Miraculously, it's not going to be as terrible as Katrina. The response of the local and federal government has been phenominal. Never again will there be another disaster the magnitude of what happened during and after Katrina.
GW's in Austin right now, "overseeing" the Texas relief effort. He reminds me of a whipped child...anxious to not get in trouble again. Ah...I shouldn't be an asshole to him right now.
If Gustav had coincided with the kickoff of the Democratic National Convention, countless preachers would have announced it to be evidence of God's displeasure with Democrats, and undoubtedly, homosexuals. What a strange, sad, archaic way of thinking....punishment with the weather by an unhappy god. Saints preserve us....
